File Import Issues Inventor 2017

Hi-

I'm having an issue with importing files into Inventor 2017 (2017.3 update installed).

I've tried to import multiple files from multiple sources with the same results. Step. files will hang at about 95% and go no further. Parasolid files will eventually load, but the wait is several minutes.

Without exception, any of these files will load into Inventor 2015 with minimal delay. Is there a set of options available that will make 2017 mimic the default import settings of 2015? Am I destined to always use Inventor 2015 as an import tool because of Autodesk's idea of an "improvrement"?

I've attached one of the offending files.

Thanks, Tom

I have Inventor 2017 R3 and the model imported within seconds...  But its based on a composite and not a solid.

Thanks, Mark.

I tried again using the "Select" tab from the dialog box and then "Load Model" and it worked.  I had just been hitting "OK" previously.

I noted that the file was created in SolidWorks, so I opened it in SolidWorks and Import Diagnostics in SolidWorks indicated many issues with the geometry.
