Extrusion Menu Not Showing Up

Anonymous

Hey community,

I've having a problem trying to extrude. When I press the extrude button, only one menu shows out of the two. Here's a link that depicts a screenshot of what I want to see vs what I see on my interface.

What I've tried so far is Google, restarted the program, opened new part files and none of them worked. Any direction will be greatly appreciated.

Thanks,

Felix

Sorry, just figured it out. Here's what I did to solve:

View --> User Interface --> check "Mini Toolbar"

My extrude tool is doing something similar, and I have selected a mini toolbar. However, nothing has changed, and I can now no longer see any menu popping up. I can only see the measurement and nothing else.

Hi! This could be related to DPI or Qt Scaling. Try the followings and see if it makes a difference.

1) Go to Windows Display settings. Select the recommended resolution and scale.

or

2) Right-click on Inventor icon on the desktop -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Change High DPI Settings -> check both boxes.

or

3) Go to Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Environment variables -> create "QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR” and set it to 0.

Many thanks!

I am being faced with the same problem, I have tried both checking the toolbox and changing the DPI settings, but nothing is working.

Hi! Do you have dual monitors setup? Have you tried resetting Inventor settings back to install default by using Inventor Reset Utility?

Many thanks!

I had the same issue for direction of extrusion. Somehow i switched my selector style from icons to dropdown and turned off my icons.

This is how I fixed it.

In the Extrude dialog box > Behaviour > Direcion ; click on the triangle down and select icons.
