EXTRUDE FROM IMPORTED DXF

I need to extrude from an imported dxf.  I can't get it to work.  It somes in as a bunch of tiny segments and I don't know how to connect them

I'm searching old threads on this and they aren't helping.

ANy help is appreciated

Hi!

When importing the dxf, Select "Constrain end points"

Do not select "apply geometric constrains" or it will take a lot of time to solve all that.

Any idea how to smooth out the rough side surface?  I'm making a Xmas present.

I'm thinking drawing a slpine over it and tracing around it will be the fastest way to smooth it out.  Thanks!
