Extract dimensions from a sketch in inventor drawing

Hi,

I'm creating an very complicated curved from. So for my model maker I want to have absolute dimensions. the reference for every line is different. So my reference line is the outside diameter.

I made a sketch with points and gave them driven dimensions because they are place on the point where the 2 lines cross.

My idea is to extract the driven dimensions and put them in a table. My problem is I can't find them in my Inventor parameters list. Can you help me where I can retrieve these dimension so I don't have to type every single one. Or which way would be the most effective?

Many thanks

In the parameters tab you should be able to set the filter to "ALL" to display reference parameters. This is not available in the drawing enviroment as far as I'm aware, you will need to do it in the model env.

You can then export to .xml, do some formating and bring it into an excel file which can be embedded on the drawing. Not ideal since the data is no longer linked to the model.

The other more robust option would be to give the driven parameters custom names and then bring them in on the drawing as model paramters, accessed from the text entry tool. This would maintain the link to the model but might be a bit more time consuming if you have heaps to do.

Hi! I believe you can copy the drawing sketch geometry and paste it to a part sketch. In this way, you can preserve the dimensions and parameters. Also, you can create the drawing view of the part with the sketch.

Many thanks!
