Exporting ipt work points directly to AutoCAD

Can work points created in ipt file be exported to AutoCAD file without going through excel export/import steps?

It looks like anything can be exported to dwg, but not work points. Is there a reason for this?

I need points in space to align 3d objects. It seams like exporting points to excel and then importing to dwg is a very long way.

I am working in Inventor 2018 LT.

Thank you,

Grego

The above method will export the physical linework of the workpoint, bot not the associated XYZ of the workpoint coordinates.

Hi! Indeed, workpoints or work features in general are not included in dwg export. You can create a 3D sketch and then attach points to the workpoints. Then they should be exported to the dwg file.

Many thanks!
