Exported Inventor drawing layers all continuous in Autocad

If I export an Inventor drawing to Autocad all the layers end up showing as continuous.

So for instance if I have hidden lines or centre lines then they just show up as continuous lines in Autocad.

I've looked at the options and it seems I've got to set each Autocad layer to try to match the Inventor layer.

This is a crazy situation. I know I can set a template but really, should this be necessary!

To get what you want requires some extra steps in Inventor. You have to configure your Save As options and save them as a stand alone file. Next time that configuration will be available for you to use. Just like it is shown on the attached screen capture.

Cheers,

Igor.

Yes I realised that Igor.

Not really a situation that should be necessary to be honest.
