Export PDF Defaults

Morning

Using Inventor 2014 and Inventor 2015, every time I export a PDF file I have to select all sheets and change the DPI to 1200

Is there a way to set this as default.....can see any reason whay anyone would want to PDF only one sheet of a drawing as default?

becomea a bit of a bottleneck when PDF'ing lots of drawings

Thanks hopefully

We have a print settings set up for this vs exporting.

However there is a post about setting up standards and Ilogic in Inventor that you might find useful, or at least start leading you down the path your looking for

Also check out the Autodesk Inventor Exchange app store.  There's a couple of apps out there that allows the user to create print settings like AutoCAD and then store them as icons/buttons on the Inventor ribbon.

Thanks

iLogic looks good but these are not my files so I cannot add iLogic to them

Thanks again

Why? You wouldn't be modifying the file in any way.

If not you could do it the printing way and set up your standards there.

Im not that familiar with Ilogic, all the other iLogic I have seen have been embedded in the file?

If the ilogic can just sit local on my machine and not affect the various customers files then that would be brilliant

Main customers use their PDM systems to generate PDF files which sadly I dont have access to as I work offline from PDM

Cheers

I'm sure you can set up a trigger on your machine, it doesn't have to save the IDW...but rather export rule for Ilogic.

i'll be honest I'm great at Ilogic, however @Curtis_Waguespack might be able to help.    Also check out the customization forum.

I have Ilogic rules I use at work, but when I'm at home they aren't there.   You can store them locally on your pc. You'd just bring up the browser for Ilogic.

Try this little IV add-on. Once installed and setup you can place an export to PDF icon on any of you menus, you set it up to the resolution required, there is also an option to export all sheets in one go.

Tor run remove .jpg from the end
