Export from Inventor to Abaqus

Hi,

Does anyone know if it's possible to export a file from Autodesk Inventor to Abaqus (FEM software)?

If so, what is the file format to use when exporting from Inventor?

I've never used Abaqus in particular, but a quick online search turned up the online help for Abaqus, which includes a list of compatible file formats.  A skim of that indicates that it can import ACIS (.sat), IGES (.igs / .iges), and STEP (.stp, .step), all of which can be exported from Inventor. 

I would probably start with a STEP file, and consider trying the others if that doesn't work.
