Export Envelope to STEP format

Hi!

I have question. Some year ago AI has new function for simplification - ENVELOPE

After simplification (complex sub-assembly i replace to envelope) i want export simplified model to STEP format, but envelope don't export....

How can i export simplified model to another software?

Hi @oleg_inv.

I usually use Shrinkwrap tool to simplify complex assemblies for external sharing. It works very good and has the possibility to control the level of detail you want to show by including/exluding parts/features, deleting features by size, using different styles for the resulting part ..etc . Once yo have the shrinkwrap part its very easy to save it as a step file and send it.
