Hi,

I'm trying to add expanded metal mesh to a sheet metal part I've created.

I've made some test scaling the appearance in texture editor, but the weight doesn't change. If I understand it correctly, this only make the parts appearance as expanded metal. It acutally doesn't cut out the parts that are defined in Appearance Editor.

Is there any way to actually cut out desired material, so the weight changes?

Thank You in advance,

Damian

Hi!

The Expanded metal mesh appearance, is just texture in the surface's part.

Regarding the physical properties, the appearance will not change anything (volume, material, etc)

Therefore, if you need to know the proper physical properties like the real volume or mass, you have to design the part as it is in the real world.

Overwrite the iProperties with correct mass.
