Excel OLE object suddenly lost Formatting in All files

We use an embedded Excel File in our drawing template for pneumatic manifold drawings. I personally am not a fan of embedded OLE object, because formatting is such a pain, however, it was the only way to get the desired functionality. (There are pull down lists and some text turning on and off and all that fun).

In any case, we just noticed that when we use the template, or even open old files, and edit the old object, we lose some of the fomatting. Table boarders disappear along with some internal cell borders. I thought it was just an update to our template file, but this is happening to old drawings that were fine a month ago. Anyone else having this issue? I have attached our .idw template file for refence. WE are using Excel thru office 365 (have been for at least a year)

I have also attached a pdf of a file for what original form looked like...if you have the formatting issue I see, you'll immediately see the difference. The .png file is a screen shot of a drawing with the "messed up" format.

We are using IV 2016 SP2

Hi! This issue seems to start to happen after a recent Windows updates. We are still investigating and we don't have a solution yet. Could you try rolling back recent Windows updates?

Many thanks!

So, I went through windows updates. Apparently, on March 22nd (or around then) an Office 2007 Suites update was sent out. It appears to have included a service pack 3. I uninstalled those, but upon restarting my computer, it re-installed them, however, here is a screen shot of the updates ...have no idea of know which one is problematic...shown as Microsoft Office Standard 2007  (re)installed on 4/4/19.

IT is my assumption it is one of these, given that my OLE object is an excel file, and based on the original install dates, of hotfixes and patches, March 22nd is the most logical time stamp based on when we started to see the problem.

Hi! It does seem like this is Microsoft update related. We are working with Microsoft to understand the issue better. Also, we are working on a fix on our end. It will not be available in the coming 2019.4 update. But, we will try our best to come up with a safe solution.

Many thanks!

Also, for what it's worth, to anyone else maybe struggling with this. The issue is that the two heaviest line sets available in the borders show up as white/none. I can get them to show up when I use the thinnest, or standard line weight, just not the two heaviest solid lines. I attached a picture showing this.

This ultimately resolved itself on a micorsoft update.
