ESKD Support add-in loaded

In the past month I've seen a few cases where the ESKD Support add-in loaded and is causing confusion when annotations are being placed on drawings.   These individuals either didn't know what the ESKD add-in was or even how it got loaded since they haven't touched their add-in manager for months.   Yes its a simple fix..   But I have to wonder why is it getting turned on..

Anybody else come across this?   At this point I'm going to start recording Inventor version and service packs to see if there's a common theme.  But it has happened to 3 separate people and infrastructures.

Hi.

Some times when ESDK (Gost) is checked as Automatically loaded. When a Gost template is opened ESDK plugin is loaded.

@Fouad-l

Yes that's true..  But in all 3 separate cases, no one has a GOST template or had the automatic load behavior checked.  In addition no one has changed the options under the add-in manager in months..   Anyhow thanks for the reply..  Hopefully if it appears again with others I can find the root cause.  Smiley Wink

We just had that happen too. We don't use GOST.

Hi! I have seen this behavior before on my machine too. I have yet to find a way to consistently reproduce it. I think it has something to do with the Add-In loading behavior.

%AppData%\Autodesk\Inventor 2018\Addins

C:\Users\All Users\Autodesk\Inventor 2018\Addins\

What Inventor add-in to load depends on the files in the following folders (if you are on a release other than 2018, change the release name in the folder path). You will find the add-in loading xml files. Edit the file and scroll to the bottom. You will see the following statement. If it is set to 1, it will be loaded on startup and vice versa.

<LoadOnStartUp>0</LoadOnStartUp>

Many thanks!

Thank you. It's not loading on startup. It just loaded out of the blue. It didn't reload on startup. We're not seeing a pattern as to when or why it gets triggered yet.
