Error conflict when redefining hole sketch plane

Found a new glitch. Only seems to be happening with imported base models (so far). Needed to do a few sizing modifications to a simple block with 2 existing holes in the base model. After extending the face by .030, I redefined the top surface for the tapped holes. It came up with errors for reference geometry not found, which I deleted in the sketch. But I still had the blue circle with the "i" in the model tree. But there was no Red "+" indicating an error. Doc says its ok? What's even more odd is I save it to vault, close the part, shut down Inventor, restart it all, and now the part is fine. Not a huge deal, but still a glitch. Anyone else seen this?

Hi

It's very hard to say something without a file and a screen recording.

Perhaps there are simply some broken geometry projections left over from the previous version.

I realize this is a simple part, and if I would have just started over, this would not be an issue. More curious as to why.

Good practice lessons:

  1. Models should be edited using the end of part marker. Or:
  2. The Rebuild All tool allows you to load geometric information from scratch.

Strange. I did that when making the part. Moved the marker again, and now no errors.
That was an easy fix. Thanks for the help! 🙂
