Element Numbers in list of materials

Hi all.

My question  is: is there any way to assign the element number to a specific part of an Assembly? I find that Inventor assigns element Numbers randomly and when I place the balloons in a drawing, the Numbers of each element of the Assembly are not the way I want, so I have to edit  the list of materials and modifiy each element number manually. I thought there was a way to do so in the iproperties screen of each individual part , but I can not find anything there.

Hello @ricardobrovida,

If I understand your question correctly, it is more about Balloons sequential order.

There are two ideas from ideastation and right now the manual work is the workaround as you've mentioned.

Reorder of Balloon Stack

Balloons sequential order

Hope it helps!

Hi! Like Xun said, the only way to do that is to override the item numbers on PartsList in the drawing. Most of the properties associated with a component (part or assembly) are document-based. It means that the properties are saved within each part or assembly file. These properties remain the same in the assemblies where the parts exist.

What you are asking is the ability to define occurrence properties. Inventor has limited support of occurrence properties at the moment.

We are aware of the request but we don't have a good solution yet.

Many thanks!
