Effective cross sectional area of flow path

Is there any way I can plot cross sectional area vs travel in inventor. I need to plot a line showing the total cross sectional area of the holes (highlighted in blue in first image) that sit above the plane (yellow) as the red part of my assembly moves up the z axis. Hi Amor,

Not sure area is enough for you or not, but the volume should be the final result based on my understanding and then you can document the range volume in the manual of product. However, volume is not only care about the through area, but also for the pressure. I mean, more volume with higher pressure and bigger area through. 

Based on the movement, at least you have three points of area, two are start and end point and a middle point, the equation of area increasing more like linear type from start to middle and middle to end and you can draw the chart based on the start, middle and end point.

For example, in your image, there is 12 holes, suspect the radius is r, then, at the the start point, the total area = (6*π*squr(r))/2 and the end point = 12*π*squr(r), the middle area = 6*π*squr(r). 

So the chart more like below:

Hi Mr Zhang,

I need the cross sectional area plotted as it relates directly to an energy loss coefficient that I will be working with. Volume is not required for this value. Just wanted to see if there was a way could do this to plot about 100 points without to much hassle. I know I can do this manually but was looking for an easier option.
