Edges Missing from Drawing

Hello,

I have a spring, 9433K903, in my assembly. I stretched the model so it would align with the mounting pins, model state J0175A31. On the drawing it is missing some edges, see image below. Why does this happen? Tangent lines are ticked on.

I have attached the part below, INV2022, in case anyone would like to investigate. Maybe this is a known exception to the model edges?

Regards,

Hi,
Yes, it looks like an error with the definition of the outlines in the drawing after the Direct Edit operation.

There is a similar error in version 2023

Hi! The coil body checks clean. But, I guess there are some tiny gaps (within allowable tolerance) on the body. Try restitching the body. Right-click on the base feature -> Repair Bodies -> Unstitch -> Stitch all back to 0.00001mm. After that the Direct Edit may fail because the body has been redefined. Fix up the Direct Edit. The edges should be shown correctly in the drawing view.

Many thanks!

Hi @rcolon9E4ZX

If this is the final drawing, turn on the raster view in this view.

It will help, but I think you should report the problem to Idea Station.

Let me know if it works for you too?

That is strange that the raster option works, what you can also do if you want it to still be a precise view is you can rotate the view a tiny amount and it will start to show up again

The "tangent edges" option won't help with this example as this only works to show edges that are joining two faces that are tangential to each other, think fillets or bends on a sheet metal part.
