Dynamic simulation missing

Hi

I have Inventor 2017 and I can't find dynamic simulation anywhere. I assume that dynamic simulation button should be in environments tab but I don't have it. Should it be there or do I need to download some add-in?

Welcome to the forum.

Click the Add-ins button "+" right there to verify is loaded.

From the add-ins, I don't find anything related to dynamic simulation. I have all loaded except Auto Limits and ESKD Support. I think that I'm missing stress and frame analysis also.

in 2017 ?!?!?

check what inventor version you have as per my image below. If you are on subscription there is only Inventor and Inventor LT so it should all be there.

You need Professional for that.

Still haven't answered my question. Are you on subscription which entitles you to get Professional for free (not sure how you get Inventor)

or

Are you on perpetual license which explains why you have Inventor basic...

I don't know about subscription because I have university license for my Inventor. But now I know why I don't have dynamic simulation and I need to find out if I can get Inventor Professional. Thank You for Help!

Is it really university (institutional) license, or is it really student license?

Actually, both schools and students get Inventor Professional for free.

What is are the first 3 numbers of your serial number.
