Dynamic Simulation - Impact Force

I've set up a simple simulation to review the impact force of a falling object and I'm confused with the results. Could someone take a look at the screenshot inside of the zip file and tell me if the force generated is supposed to be 220 lbf or 6407 lbf? I don't know which one is right. I suspect the latter. I'm also trying to set the same variables up in Excel and I'm not getting the same results.

I also zipped up my simulation files and excel spreadsheet in case anyone is curious to how I have them set up.

Surely I didn't stump everyone, did I? 🙂 Here's the screenshot.

Where are you getting your collision distance in your Excel spreadsheet?

I actually fudged that number until I got something similar in Inventor. I think it should be closer to .00012m (.005") but that jumps the number over 53k lbf. Either my spreadsheet is way off or my Inventor simulation is way off. If I could get the two nearly the same then I would trust the results.

Where are you getting your numbers for 3D Contact - Stiffness and Damping?

Hmm...good question. I'm not sure where those figures came from. I think I just selected component 1 and 2 and applied it and ran the simulation. Do those number generate after the simulation is executed? Perhaps that's the actual force. If so, why don't those numbers show up in the output grapher?

Those are the default numbers.

You must enter the values appropriate for your materials.

Well, if that's the case then I'm not sure what the correct figures would be. A little research, I guess. Thank-you for your help. Much appreciated.
