Driving chamfers with rule

Hi,

I am trying to change chamfer sizes of cylindrical parts with rule so, that when the wall thickness changes, also the chamfer changes so that the thinner part defines the size of the chamfer. This works fine but sometimes when the difference in wallthicknesses is big it fails to make the chamfer even the parameters shows that the chamfer size is OK.

Hi! Parameters table would not warn users about existing or potential feature failures. You might need to add other conditional statements in the iLogic rule to guard against the exception. Another way to control that is to use conditional statement within feature properties. Right-click on the Chamfer icon in the browser -> Properties. There you can set up a condition so the feature will be suppressed.

Many thanks!
