drawing : why is the base view cropped

Hi all,

I want to place the baseview, with a selected LOD en VIEW Rep.

When I click OK, the view is cropped, while I did not ask for it.

See two added screenshots. The first one is what I need, the second one is after clicking ok

Any recommendations?

thanks in advance,

Toon

This is because you have reference parts in the assembly, which are not included in the margin calculation of the view.  If you edit the view and to the Model State tab and change the margin value it will update and give you what you want.

Is that one file? Or 2 and doing overlay?

I believe it is 2 files with overlay.

Look at the browser..

Hi,

I have the same issue, but cannot change the margin as the box is greyed out in the Model State tab. Any ideas??

Not sure.  Can you post a screen shot of the model state tab?

The .dwg view was created from an .ipn Looking at other help topics, I tried changing one of the parts in the .iam to 'reference' occurrence, this has freed up the margin box, but no matter what I change the figure in this box to, the view won't update to show everything.

I think you'll have to use a web browser to post your images, and when you do, please embed them in the text rather than attach them as files.  Much easier for the rest of us to see them instead of downloading the images, opening each one, then remembering to delete them afterwards.

I see no answer to this in the thread, thus I share mine...
Whe inserting the Base view in Drawing View Box > Tab : Model --> Margin Field type 100 and that's it.

The answer to the original question was posted in the first reply and marked as a solution.  It is the same as your solution.

There has not yet been an answer to the second question because the questioner was not able to post images of what they were seeing.  Note that they specifically mentioned that the Margin box was not enabled.
