Drawing View Tab

When I am doing my dwg's i would click on base view, and a base view would appear but not where i can move it freely. I would only be able to move it after i configured all of the settings to my drawing. The problem is on my drawing view tab, I don't have the orientation section under it, but I do have the view cube. Is there a way to get the orientation section under my drawing view box?

Welcome to the Community.

You should be able to move the cursor onto any portion of the view and hold down the LH mouse button to select the view, while holding down the LH mouse button be able to drag the view around.

You should be able to select the corners of the view cube to rotate the view as well.

It still works the same way, I have a couple of laptops as well and it's the same. I would strongly suggest getting a mouse to work with Inventor though. Even when I'm on the road with a laptop I won't work with Inventor without both a mouse and 3D controller.

Check your drawing template file. There may be a predefined view in it. This would prevent you from accessing several of the drawing view options.
