Drawing View Defaults

Is there a place to set options Drawing View options (specifically in the "Model/Reference Data" tab in the library sheet format. There are only two users here and I seem to be the defacto admin :).

Further searching revealed threads that said a default setting here is not available. Why?

It's complicated to distribute for many users (registry copy & paste), but with only two you could try changing the settings used during last placing (not editing) a Base View:

Edit: perhaps the Model tab has no setting available in the registry at all and you cannot change its default.
