Drawing a line on a solid surface

How do you draw a line for visual purposes only?

I have cupboard doors and have to show the swing.  How do I simply draw lines that show up on the drawings?

Thank you... Robyn

If you are talking in a drawing, select the view you want to do it in then select sketch.

The sketch toolbar will show and be active.

You can either sketch in the drawing view

or

Retrieve sketch from model into the drawing view.

I would create a sketch in the actual ipt (part) file so that you don't need to keep redrawing the line if you ever do a different drawing or whatever..

Then right click on the part in the idw model browser for that view you want it to show up in and select "get model sketches"..
