Double miter corner joint in Frame Generator

I have a corner consisting of 3 tubes coming together which I would like to miter properly. But when I select all 3 tubes and click miter in Frame Generator, the miter doesn't come out the way I'd like.

This "double miter corner joint" image shows what I'm looking for:

Is there a way to do this strictly with Frame Generator operations? What am I doing wrong? Wrong order of operations?

Hello, and welcome to the forum!

I'm pretty sure that, at this time, Inventor will only do a single miter in Frame Generator.  This type of double miter will probably need to be manually modeled at the assembly level.

You could try and miter first the "tooth" one against a pipe or solid at an angle, then use that to miter the other two against it on a second step. See if that approximates best what you see in the real world example pic.

If I select all three members in one go it works fine for me. Which version of Inventor are you on?

Since several versions of Inventor, you can edit multiple corners at once. Brilliant update.

If you have an older version and cannot select all profiles in one command; post here and someone will show you how to do it by hand.

Thank you all. I think my frame parts were slightly out of alignment with each other due to manually offsetting some of the parts away from their lines. I tried again with a fresh assembly and it worked:

Is there any way to automatically offset a frame member to align it with another frame member that has already had offsets applied to it?
