Display parameter names instead of value

OK, this should be easy, but I can't get it. I would like to show the
parameter name instead of the actual dimension value (on a drawing).

It is. In the template (if you want it to be global) go Tools-->Document
Settings-->Units. Select the option you want and save the file.
Best Regards,
Igor.

I think the OP is talking about a dimension in an .idw, rather than in the part environment.

I don't think it can be done, other than RMB the dimension and click text.... In the format text box, click the source box and bring up the associated user parameters (so you can see the full list of parameters). Select the correct parameter and then click in the text editor space and manually type in the relevant parameter name. Click OK.

Then RMB the dimension again and click edit... and place a check against 'hide dimension value'. Now you'll just have an associated dimension that just mentions the parameter and no actual value.

I know it's a big fudgearound but I can't see a cleaner way of doing it.

Yes you are right the OP was talking about drawing, not the sketch. My
mistake.
Igor.

ok, that works - thanks. I was hoping there was a way to have it do this
automatically, it seems like it should!

Thanks again.
