I have come across a bit of an issue, the Inventor not showing the diameter of the circle as well as not showing the depth when using "Holes and Thread".

To avoid a lot of asking and guessing post your files (.ipt, .iam) please.

What happens if you add one of the linear Horizontal or Vertical dimensions - does the behavior persist?

Your sheet size is quite large for a very small part and view scale 12:1.

What if you use an A size sheet with 1:1 scale view (or even 2:1, but not 12:1)?

Image below at 2:1 scale.

BTW: What is the horizontal position of Hole2 (Sketch1 is not fully defined).

No, the behaviour does not persist. It's only the diameter and the Holes
and Threads that are the problems

When I open your drawing in Inventor 2022, I see the problem you describe, but the only annotations you have placed are the four diameter dimensions-- there are no hole notes.  If I do anything at all to the drawing (such as move the view, or move one of the dimensions) the dimensions appear.  If I place any dimensions or hole notes, they work as expected, and the missing dimensions appear, too.  When they appear, they are placed in a way that I'm not able to replicate, appearing to be in-line with the leader, but that is not the way their dimension style is set, and once moved, I cannot return them to that condition.

I'm not able to replicate your problem when I start a new drawing and place a view and annotations; how did it get into this condition?

Hi! I think this is a drawing view refresh issue. Somehow the display is not up-to-date. Simply drag the view a bit and the dimension values will come back.

The behavior is wrong for sure. If you know how to reproduce it, please let us know. In the meantime, make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and graphics driver is updated.

Many thanks!

Thank you for the reply,
I have updated my graphics card and windows, but the problem still did not disappear. I even dragged the view but it still does not work for me

I have tried changing the views but the same problem keeps appearing

I am not sure honestly. When I placed the dimensions for the diameter for the very first time, the diameter came as blank.

I am currently using the autodesk 2022. The application hasn't told me to update anything, should I reinstall?

Try changing your fonts - is it possible you have selected a font that is not in your Windows Font library?  Windows will try to substitute a close font; but this sometimes results in "disappearing" content.

I just had this same problem with Inventor 2024.

I updated my software, restarted my computer. This did not work.

In edit dimension I checked 'Hide dimension value', and then unchecked it and the dimension appeared, with a quizzical look on its face, as if to say "I was always here, what's the problem?". Cheeky little dimension

Hi! This could be related to corrupted styles or unmigrated styles. Are you using the Style Library shipped with Inventor 2024 or your custom Style Library? If it is the custom Style Library, please use Style Library Manager to migrate the styles to 2024. Also install 2024.1.1 update and make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and the graphics driver is updated.

Many thanks!

I Did All my autodesk updates yesterday, opened some drawings today (I made them earlier this year and did not have this problem) in IV 2022,  I'm now also having this issue seems like my IV2022 is behaving like this.

I have tried all the methods mentioned in this thread and it is still not resolved. What alse can I do to fix this?

Hi! As I mentioned earlier, I suspect this is related to corrupted or unmigrated styles and standards. If possible, please share the files in zip here or send it to me directly johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I would like to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!
