Dimension to intersection of 2 curves

Hi all.

I'm trying to dimension a revolved shape which consists of what is essentially a cylinder with a curved end (not spherical) which has been truncated to leave a small flat on the curve. I need to dimension to the theoretical sharp point on the curve. How can I dimension to the intersection of 2 curves. As soon as I select the first curve, I get a radius and can't select intersection. Any help would be appreciated.

Regards

Steve

I guess you're in IDW:

select the view, create a sketch,

project the two curves (don't forget RMB
"done"),

draw two lines tangetial to the
curves,

trim the lines, use the dimension
lintype,

end sketch, create the dimension

Micheal,

Thanks for that information. I think I would need to add additional cureved sections and then trim those to get what I need, as tangetial lines would change the intersection point that I am after. Sorry it took so long to reply.

Steve,

you're right of course, you have to use

arcs instead of lines for what you
want

to do. Have to think first and then
reply,

hope the rest is ok. sorry
