Detail view hatch scale

Hi

When creating a detail view from a section view, the hatching is the wrong scale.

See example below.

parent view = 1:30.

detail view keeps the same scale hatch as parent view even though the view scale is 1:10.

It should be 3 times smaller?

I have done a section view at 1:10 to show what the detail view hatch scale should look like.

Both 1:10 views come from the same parent view, but have different hatch scales.

The work around i currently use is to select each individual hatched body and edit the scale but this takes forever.

Does anyone know a quicker solution?

It would be nice if there was a way to do this.

I have been doing, what you are doing for a couple of years now,

and yes it does take a lot of extra time.

However it would appear that there is no solution.

If there is, i would be very happy to know about it.

Yes, this is an issue with how the hatch scale is calculated.

The Solution is to use the hatch style without a scale option: SOLID (hehe gotcha)

All jokes aside, this would make a great request for the Inventor Ideas forum.

Thanks for the replies.

In my opinion, its a design fault. But its been like it for years?

Seems a pretty basic thing to me but guess we will all have to live with it for now.
