Design Assistant: An error occurred saving changes. 80070057 process aborted

Hello,

I am using the design assistant to update the parts of an assembly during the revision process to maintain the relationship between mirrored components.  If there is an easier way to rename files and maintain the relationship between mirrored parts I'm all ears..  I've used this in previous versions of Inventor without a problem but we recently upgraded to 2022, and yes I have the latest update installed.

Here is the work flow that is leading to this error:

1. in my assembly I save and replace the body with body rev a

2. Close the main assembly

3. Open Body Rev A in Design Assistant

4. Select the subassembly "Body Right" and copy it to "Body Right Rev A"

5. Select Part "Panel Right" and copy it to "Panel Right Rev A"

6. Select subassembly "Body Left" (mirror component of Body Right), and copy it to "Body Left Rev A"

7. Select Part "Panel Left" (Mirror component of Panel Right) and copy it to "Panel Left Rev A"

8. Click Save

Normally this just updates the assemblies maintains the mirror relationship and I go on my way.

now I'm getting the error:

"An error Occurred saving changes.

80070057

Process Aborted."

Then all of my changes are reset.

Does anyone know how to fix this error or a better way to rename parts and assemblies while maintaining a mirror relationship?

Thank you

Hi! Regarding the Design Assistant workflows on 2022 files with Model States, the issues should have been addressed as of 2022.2 update. If you still have unresolved issues, please share the files with me directly johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I would like to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!

I'm getting the message even after migrating all assemblies in inventor prior to switching over to DA.  Started with Inventor V4.0, This usually comes up when files not migrated.  But not this time.. What else can cause this?

Just a self check, I'm opening each sub assembly and individually making sure its migrated, then same for main assembly, then close out and go to DA for cloning.    Any ideas?

Hi! Please make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and the graphics driver is updated. Also install 2022.5 update. After that, if the error still persists, please share the files in zip with me directly johnson.shiue@autodesk.com. I would like to understand the behavior better.

Many thanks!
