Deployment of Inventor and Revit via Microsoft InTune and Autopilot.

Hi,

We are an educational institution requiring help with setting up Microsoft Intune and Autopilot to deploy Revit and Inventor 2021.

I have been asking for support on this from Autodesk for over a month with their only suggestion to approach the user community to see if they are able to help.

Sorry for the terce tone but I am fed up with the lack of support from Autodesk on the issue.

Have managed to create a 15G deployment package but it fails on automation.

Hoping someone can help me with this problem.

kind regards, Brad

Hi Brad,

Our deployment images can be ingested into InTune or SCCM without issue.  The only exception is the use of Symbolic Links (symlinks) which neither platform supports.  You can disable this feature when configuring the deployment in Custom Install.  You should test the deployment prior to ingesting it into InTune to be sure it works as expected.  This will ensure that the deployment image installs successfully and isolate the issue to either the image or InTune.

We don't support InTune specifically because it is a Microsoft tool and requires you to re-package the image using the Content Prep Tool.  Each environment can also have its own unique challenges.

Hope that helps,

-Danny

Thanks for your suggestion,

I was able to install a 2021 version of Inventor but I get this error when opening and trying the license server. (see license.png)  When I open LMtools on the server I have this version. (see lmtools.png)

Is anyone able to help me with this error?
