Default drop down Start part location

Good Morning Inventor Brain trust....

I know where and how to assign the start parts, BUT not the ones that are in the drop downs as they pull from somewhere else.  I am trying to find that location and where to assign that location.

So, to follow up on this...with further help and research, I found the solution.

With my start part templates I used the 2025 versions that had (in) after them: Standard (in).ipt

When you hit the drop downs, Inventor is coded to look for Standard.ipt, as it cannot find that in the search path, it defaults to blank Inventor IPT.

So, the FIX is to remove the (in) from my start parts and all is good, anyway you click it finds my start parts.

Hi! What you have found is indeed true. There is another way to fix it. Go to Tools -> App Options -> File -> Configure Default Templates -> select the desirable standard and unit. You will get a copy of the default standard template files in the active Template folder.

Many thanks!
