Hi Kiri,

Is it a decal feature or just a sketch with an image? The former should appear in drawing shaded view but the latter will not be shown.

Please share the files here. The forum experts can help take a further look.

Many thanks!

Hi Johnson,

Thanks for your response. This is a QR code image inserted with Decal.

Thanks

Hi Kiri,

It should work. Please make sure all critical Windows updates are installed and the graphics driver is updated. Share the files here. The forum experts can help take a further look.

Many thanks!

Hi Kiri, you can't show a decal in a view that is not shaded, that's your issue here.

Hi James,

I don't understand what is meant by shaded?

Thanks

Actually it is possible, but the workaround is quite extensive. You need to make a dummy posrep plus a viewrep showing just the decal. Then you can place this combo as a shaded overlay on the 'unshaded' view.

Hi Folks,

Kiri sent me the files to look at. Without disclosing the detail, I can share my findings. It is a bug and a limitation. The decal feature is indeed on a part face. After the decal was created, there is an assembly extrusion cutting through the same face where the decal is. The decal then was "covered" by the bodies participating in the assembly extrusion. There is a simple workaround. Edit the assembly extrusion -> Ok. The decal will come back.

Many thanks!

Hi Kiri, this is shaded, i.e. coloured in.
