Hello, I want to cut the blue surface with the red one. Can anybody tell me how to do that, maybe make a video or something. Thanks.
Solved! Go to Solution.
Is that a part file?
Why are you using a surface? Can you not just use an extrude cut?
Try split to split the body using the surface, and then delete face, but use the body command.
Post your file please.

Hi! Is the red face a surface or a solid body? You can use Thicken/Offset command to create a zero distance surface. Then it can be used as a tool to cut.
Many thanks!
It is a body @johnsonshiue . Here are the files @j.palmeL29YX .
Those files are a completely different thing.
Your question is about surfaces but you attached two solids. Are you wanting an answer for surfaces or solids?
Here's both methods, you can't see from the video, but the first thing I do is double click the cylinder to do an edit in place.
