Custom Tracer in Dynamic Simulation

Hello,

i need to trace a specific point of my assembly with a tracer during dynamic simulation to get the positional data. So far i was only able to select certain faces. Can i specify a custom point to be traced?

Thanks

Yes, this is easy to do.

Attach your assembly here for demonstration.

Hi, thanks for your reply!

Attached is the project. The cylinder moves by rotating one of the shafts.. Im interested in tracing multiple points on and in (e.g. center of gravity) the cylinder..

Place a Workpoint in the center of the cylinder.

(Or at any location that you want to trace.)

Be sure to put the point in the part file (not assembly level).

Thanks for this! Works very well! Another question: Is it possible to trace the working point in terms of angular velocity rather than linear velocity?
