Hello all,
I created 3 different custom properties in iproperties with an ipart. I was wondering if we can have a different custom property for each part within the ipart. For example:
Part Number Custom Property Setting
001 Sq. Cut
002 Miter
003 Prep.
I am trying to show different custom properties in the parts list but so far I can only have one custom property for all parts within the ipart. Each of the part in the ipart has different cut. Please see the attached screen shot. Thank you in advance for your help.

Sure..
Add the custom iprops then edit the ipart table and pull those columns into the ipart table and edit as needed..
even found a bug (I think) .. maybe a reason that this happens but..
Notice that the "Length" custom iprop isn't present in the ipart factory but is accessible to a drawing.. (I added it before then deleted it)..
Any custom iprops that you add are never fully "purged" and remain around..
In the attached ipart I also added custom iprops of 1,2,3,4 and all are still "accessible" to the drawing but not shown in the ipart factory at all..
Hi
FYI, just something that can occasionally catch you out.
If any of the properties are present in your "Standard.ipt" template file, they clash with the iPart file iProperties. (And not work correctly)
The easiest fix, is to temporarily remove your "Standard.ipt" file before generating the iPart files. When you are done, put it back into your template folder.
@mcgyvr opened the part and don't see the length custom value in my drop down.
Does that Length:2 shown at left of your drawing have anything to do with that?
Not sure what's going on but can't reproduce that, maybe attach .idw file to inspect if you want.

Interesting, I also have a length, but mine is from my template?
I did not do a thing.
I open the file directly from the forum. (It's still read only)
Created a drawing
Placed the text as you did in your screencast.
