Crosshatch changes during PDF export

I am working in Inventor 2016 on a secured network (sorry not models or pictures to demonstrate my issue).  I am building an assembly with Aluminum parts.  When I take a cross-section, I reassign the hatch to Aluminum (ANSI 38). When I export this to PDF, it comes out as cast iron, general purpose hatch (ANSI 31), which can be confusing to vendors reading the drawing.  Is there a fix for this?  Am I doing something wrong?  I am new to Inventor and 100% self-taught.  Can you help me?

Thanks in advance

There was an issue with Inventor2016 when it first came out and PDF printing issues were resolved..   Please see this article.
