I understand how to model a conical shape and barely how to use the bevel gear generator in assembly mode. Yet, I don't know how to apply the teeth made in the generator to a cone shape part. Is there a way to create the tooth on a cylinder with a base diameter the same as the cone and then import that onto a sketch of the cone base, sketch a scaled down version of the cone base onto an offset plane, and then loft that?

Why can't you simply use the Gear Generator to create a bevel gear and then edit that as needed?

Will you be manufacturing the finished design yourself or have someone else do the manufacturing?

What do you mean by "edit as needed"? As in creating a bevel gear with a helix angle of 0*?
