Creating an asembly

I'm doing the tutorial for "creating an assembly" on Inventor Pro 2017 student version. I've reached the sub- section "Insert and Constrain a Subassembly" without any problems. Now, I am at the sub-section "Edit a Part in an Assembly". The tutorial is very confusing to me in this section. Especially the part about projecting the geometry on the extrusion to the sketch. The illustrations in the tutorial are not very clear as to how to set things up for the extrusion. I did what I thought to be what the instructions indicate. Somehow, I got the extrusion to look like  it is supposed to look like. Whom should I contact about making the illustrations more comprehensible? I'm sure many students have had a difficult time doing this exercise. I included a screenshot of my progress so far. Thanks for any help with this problem!

Can you provide a link to the tutorial you are reviewing..  Let others review the information and see what it states.  Meaning lets start there first...  Smiley Wink

I copied and pasted the section of the tutorial under screencast. I hope that is what you meant. The particular section I was referring to is under "Edit a Part in an Assembly". The trouble I have with the illustrations begins at instruction number four that reads, "Project the geometry at the top of the extrusion to the sketch, as shown in the following image". Then instruction number five reads, "Sketch a rectangle that is coincident with the projected line, as shown in the following image". The following image they are talking about that appears below instruction number seven doesn't make any sense to me. I think instructions four through seven should each have their own illustrations showing a step by step progression of the process. As i stated previously, I blindly did the process and somehow got the extrusion correct.
