Hi there Autodesk community. I am reaching out for assistance in our school's Formula car design. I am struggling on figuring out how to precisely rotate/place our car model with the ground clearance numbers I have. There are two points on the chassis. The front point will have a distance of 4.0 inches from the ground. The rear point will have a distance of 4.5 inches from the ground. I have an assembly file of many parts.
My question is: How do I create an appropriate ground plane for the car and precisely rotate the chassis such that these 2 points meet their specification? I had tried creating an offset plane but I wasn't able to figure out (if even possible) how to constrain these points with these distances.
I am using Autodesk Inventor Professional 2020
