Creating a corner chamfer

I am in the process of showing a co-worker how to use Inventor who is switching over from Creo. In Creo you can do a corner chamfer, giving either the three dimensions or clicking and dragging from the corner. You can find a short video here: https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=6UVFrgA4Nos

Is there a way to create something like that in Inventor?

All of the corner chamfers need to be at the 6 3/4 x 5 1/2 x 1 3/16. The material thickness will remain the same but the overall sizes of the pieces will change.

The steps I took were drawing an angled work plane, drawing a sketch on the plane and doing a extruded cut. The problem is I am not getting the desired dimensions I need. The 1st view shows my steps, the other views show what it looks like pulled in from Creo to Inventor and the desired dimensions.

Please advise and thank-you in advance!

There is no tool to do this directly (I guess).

But you can do this:

1 - Create 3 points to drive your cut (I have created these points with sketchs)

2 - Create a work plane using te three points

3 - Split the solid

Check the attached file.

If the Chamfer is equal on all sides, you can use the standard Chamfer tool and then delete the faces you don't need with the 'Heal Edges' option.

Can you attach your *.ipt file here?

Is this a real part - or is it an academic exercise?
