Create rectangular pattern with rotated part.

New to Inventor. Trying to find the right tools to start working on modelling our products.

Is it possible to create a rectangular pattern for a part where 1 part is as iplaced, the next rotated 180° around its vertical axis? This would create a pattern like this / \ / \ / \ / \ all with the same parts.

The number of items in the pattern may be odd or even. This would imply that using 2 instances for the pattern (one / and one \) would not work.

Looking forward to see some useable solutions.

Thanks for you quick reply.

I have an example that a college of mine drew up. The highlighted components are the ones I'd like to pattern.

Inventor version is 2016

Is Suppressing the extra component when it occurs an acceptable solution?

Tried that, but the supressed part still shows in the parts list.

Besides that, this request is needed to create a whole series of products. That way I need to suppres parts every other product size. Could work maybe, but not my prefered solution.
