Picture attached. Everytime I go to create a new file since getting Inventor 2024, it defaults to the folder en-US with Inventor's default templates. I'd like it to default to the highlighted folder "Weber Group" with my personalized templates. How do I do this?

Any idea as to why an imported CAD file keeps defaulting to a "generic" material and "shaded" appearance when there is no such part file in the templates folder at all? I've checked the default template folder path, and all of the part files in the template folder to make sure everything is set to "stainless" and "shaded with edges" but alas... it's not working.

Hi! If there are no Standard.ipt or Standard.iam file in the active template folder, no templates (system defaults) will be used. The styles are all based on internal default. I suggest you set up Standard.ipt and Standard.iam template files in the template folder.

Many thanks!

So does it have to be the original Standard.ipt file that came with the install? Or can I just rename my part file to "Standard.ipt"

You can rename your template(s).
