Create Base View from model list

Inventor 2018. Is there a way in Drawing to create a Base View from the sub-assembly in the Model menu instead of looking through all the files for it. No, I do not use vault. I have to search through 6 folders to find different Pack-n-go parts. I just want to select the part in the menu and do a base view detail of that part only2019-04-02_1222.png

Nope.. (not out of the box without ilogic)

Right click on it.. select open..

Then go back to your drawing and it will be available in the file list in the drawing view dialog box..

That would be a good idea for the "ideastation" if its not already there..

Hi! There is a way to do it but it requires a few clicks.

1) Right-click on the part you like to create drawing views.

2) Go back to the drawing file -> create a new sheet or on the same sheet -> Sheet Format -> pick a format. The default source document should be the part you just open.

The workflow needs to be further simplified in my opinion.

Many thanks!

Thank you. I'm sure the I-logic solutions work too, but I am a beginner and don't know it yet. This solution works great
