Hi

You can use the rendering environment in an assembly file or create a new presentation file.

Hi! This seemingly simple movement is not that simple to animate in Inventor. Please share the files here. The forum experts can help take a closer look. Is this a school assignment? If yes, please do your homework yourself or discuss it with your TA and teammates.

Many thanks!

Hi Mike,

Here is what you need to do. I believe you will need to use Transitional constraints in the assembly. First, try creating zero-offset surfaces from the slot faces (Thicken/Offset). Then create two Transitional constraints between the bolt and the slot offset surface. After that, add a Flush or Mate constraint between the bolt and the side vertical face of the plate. Lastly, drive the Flush or Mate constraint.
