Create a new file (no response) ERROR CRASHING

Hello I have a annoying bug.

if I try to open a new file with the new file button it gives me a blank screen like shown below.

It doesn't load anything and if I try to click on it it says no response and shuts down the whole application.

First I had the same problem on Inventor 2023, I tried to download all the updates but it didn't fix it. so my college's said to try Inventor 2022. At first it looked like it worked cause I could do practise exercise. but when I tried to create a new file it won't respond again. I have also tried the inventor reset utility tool. but that didn't help either. also resetting my laptop which is up to date won't fix it also. And I also tried to see if my antivirus blocks something but I don't see a issue over there either. I have a free one year student license but don't think that's the problem either.

So I hope someone can tell me if I need to install some add-ins or knows something else to help me.

Kind regards,

Raoul Versteegh

Try these:
1- Check if \Design Data\ folder is set to Read Only, or if your Windows user profile does not allow you to write to the folder.
2- Also try to run Inventor as an administrator and, at the shortcuts section (home screen), add a file path to your inventor templates folder location.

Hi! A few things to try.

1) Go to Windows Display option. Select the recommended resolution and scale.

2) Right-click on the Inventor desktop icon -> Properties -> Compatibility -> Change High DPI settings -> check both boxes.

3) Control Panel -> System -> Advanced System Settings -> Environment variables -> create "QT_AUTO_SCREEN_SCALE_FACTOR” and set it to 0.

Many thanks!
