Create 3D Model using photos, creating Bike frame

I am trying to model the frame of a Honda CRF450 and am having some difficulties (see attached pic). Since the geometry is so difficult to measure with a tape and calipers, I am wondering is there is a way to do this using pictures I can take of the bike from different angles? I am aware Recap might be able to do this but I wanted to know if there was a way inventor could do this. I plan on using the frame generator with a custom profile I have already created.

Thanks,

Will

I use photos all the time - just as you describe, but you want your images to be as orthogonal as possible.  You will have to work around a bit of parallax error.

Place image in sketch.

Sketch line across a known dimension feature.

Dimension the line.  This will scale your image.

Delete the line. Dimension the image boundary to lock the image size.

Move the image to logical location relative to the Origin.

Finish Sketch and then start a New Sketch....
