Content Centre Part, Constantly asking to check out from Vault

Please see attached video

Essentially no matter what, when these content center parts are used in assembly, whenever that assembly is opened, or the part directly, we are prompted to check it out.

Larger assembly with multiple panels, probably use one of each variant, meaning we have to select No to every single one, or no to all, it's the only part in these assembly's that gives us bother and sets alarms bells of, as an unsuspecting user begins investigating what's changed in the part.

Its the only part that does this.

In the video I show generating a brand new variant from the content center, not currently in vault so show you that right from the get go its broken, any thought please do let me know.

To clarify it is the the only part that's does this, this is a library made by use from step files provided by the manufacturer.

Thanks in advance

Hi Josh,

There could be some sort of status corruption. Please share the particular CC ipt file. I would like to understand it better.

Many thanks!

Hi @josh_gudginG82RC, The part has two Derive features and both have missing links to be resolved. I think this might be the reason the file is marked dirty on open. Are the Derive source files available on your machine?

Hi @mgrenier2, I need to see an example that can reproduce the behavior. Please share the file here.

Many thanks!

Hi Josh,

I don't have Vault installed on my machine so I cannot try the exact workflow. But when I open the assembly or the individual parts, I can close those files without being prompted to save. It shows the Inventor does not dirty these files. I am wondering if there is a setting in Vault forcing Inventor to migrate these files.

Many thanks!

Interesting, thanks for checking

When you say migrate do you mean migration from an old inventor release or migrate into vault

Thanks,

Hi Josh,

I am talking about migrating from an older release of Inventor to a newer release. If I recall correctly, Inventor and Vault should be on the same release (Vault server needs to be upgraded to the newer release).

Many thanks!
