Content Center Sketch Visibility

Is there a reason, Sketch visibility can't be turned on or appear by selection/hover like all other parts in Inventor?

I created a Custom Screw Family and I included a sketch for users to call out the minor DIA of the screw when you hover over the sketch.  As a content center part, this process doesn't function. I can't even turn the visibility of the sketch on to see the sketch.

What's the purpose of this? Am I missing the reason why this doesn't function as expected?

Look maybe a week back there was a post about sketches not working properly in content centre. I can't remember the outcome though.

Thanks for the suggestion, but the only one I found was related to the sketch not updating if that's what you were referencing? I guess that would only compound my issue if the sketch could even be shown.

That's the one I was referring to. Sorry it didn't help.

Hi! I could be wrong. But, if I recall correctly, the standard content center parts are meant to show the body geometry only. The construction geometry like sketch and work features isn't included.

I can see the usage but it is how it was designed. You may want to insert it as a custom CC part. Then you can make the construction geometry visible. Also, the part can be fully editable.

Many thanks!

Thanks for the response. I'm going to avoid using them as custom parts with this type of content. It's a screw library that will be used daily so this would create a lot of parts.

Anyway, for a work around I've created a 3D sketch directly on the surface to keep visible that a user can use the measure tool on.

I still don't understand why the visible function would be removed. There doesn't seem to be an actual purpose to making content center items 'body only'. if I keep the sketch visible on the family template; it shows up, so that's what I'm going with. Frustrating bit of functionality here.
