Content Center part placement?

I am placing a part from the content center, a nut. What I would like to do is select the threaded post for the diameter but then I would like to select a work plane located .75 inches above the part that contains the threaded rod. When I try and do this Inventor wont allow the selection of the plane it seems to only want faces of parts. Is this possible for me to do? Do I need to do something special to the work plane? The work plane was generated as an offset from the face of the part that contains the threaded rod.

Thanks,

Keith,

Is this a standard nut out of the CC or one you published once upon a time?

I ask because the standard nut should have smart mates.  Nut, with that said, couple of thoughts are before the nut is placed you could place a point at said location or just place the nut and constrain it after the fact.

Side note, I see you work at Northrup Grumman, I have one right up the street from where I live in Western NY.
