Content Center Libraries not availible after update

I updated inventor to 2022, but now I can't access any content center libraries.

The default libraries are listed as "Not available", and my custom ones are "read only" even though I've set "Use Style Library" to "Read-Write"

I have tried to to install the 2022 content centre libraries, but when I try to modify the installation all I get is this:

When I navigate to the default folder, It's empty.

I saw reference to launching setup.exe from the install folder, but when I look for it I can't find it.

Does anyone have any advice for how to

  1. Get the updated 2022 content centre libraries
  2. Update my custom libraries

Thanks!

The location you are showing are not the default install for the libraries:

They default libraries install at:

C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\Inventor 2023\Content Center\Libraries\

Copy them from there to that other location shown via the project file and they should work.

Problem solved. Thank you.

Weird, in version 2022 I could put the library in any folder?

Nothing has changed from 2022 to 2023 in regard to the standard libraries.

They can go in any folder; you just need the specific version of libraries for your version of Inventor.

Yet here I have that difference. If I copy the 2023 library and link it to another folder, it doesn't work. I don't have that with Inventor 2022  🙂

I do not use the standard folder (INV2023),

so just copy your folder to the new location and rename the folder.

Link to the new folder and it should work as long as you can read and write to that folder.

I have moved the default libraries in 2023 and every other version for as long as I can remember just the same way.

Either there is a permission issue on the folder, or you are linking the location in the wrong place.

Hi, I've had a very similar problem, although I haven't updated anything recently. It has all been working happily until today when I tried to use Content Center for some reason all of a sudden none of them are working, any suggestions?

Hi, we use OneDrive to sync these libraries over remote users.
So instead of using local installed folders, we read a common OneDrive folder.

Thanks Aleksander,

I'm the only user we have so syncing the files should'nt be a problem. I can't understand why the libraries aren't working as I don't think anythings changed!
